After an interruption in April, the number of visas issued for entry into the country resumed an upward trend, which continued in June (Graph 1).
Visitor and official visas declined in June, a trend that was offset by those issued mainly for humanitarian admission and study purposes (Graph 2).
China and India remained the nationalities that obtained the most entry visas in June, although they registered lower volumes. Angolans, Egyptians, Haitians and French increased their share (Map 1).

STI
STI (nternational Traffic System)
The movement of people through Brazilian border posts remained stable in June, following a downward trend that began in February this year (Graph 3).
The nationalities that moved the most through our border posts in June were from Argentina, the United States and Chile (Graph 4).

SISMIGRA
SisMigra (National Migratiom Registry System)
Residence registrations have been fluctuating since March, but with a significant reduction compared to May (-29.6%), with an average of 18,000 regularizations per month over the year (Graph 5).
Elegibility grounds 273 (Reception of Venezuelans), 209 (Mercosur Residence Agreement) and 286 (Family Reunification) were the most applied for in June, reaffirming the progress of the country's migration policy (Graph 6).
Although Venezuelans continue to be the main nationality to obtain a residence permit, Argentinians and Afghans continue to be among the top ten nationalities to become regular residents in the country (Map 2).

Applicants for refugee status recognition
For the third month in a row, applications for asylum recognition dropped, but with an annual average of close to 5,000 applications, higher than in 2022 (Graph 7).
Even against a scenario of reduced volumes of applications, Pacaraima (RR), Boa Vista (RR) and São Paulo (SP) were the cities that received the most applications in June (Graph 8).
Venezuelans and Cubans were the nationalities that most applied for asylum in June. However, it is worth noting the presence of Vietnamese and Indians among the top ten nationalities (Map 3).

CGIL
CGIL (General Coordination of Labor Immigration)
The historical series of work permits granted for labor and investment purposes kept fluctuating in June, although with a decreasing trend (Graph 9).
In the context of a decrease in the volume of permits granted, Chinese immigrants recorded a positive result compared to the month of June. Among the top ten nationalities, Indians, Germans and French also experienced an increase in the number of permits, but in much smaller volumes than the Asian country (Graph 10).
Most of the permits for skilled workers fell into the categories of managers and science and arts professionals (Graph 11).

CTPS/RAIS/NOVO CAGED
Harmonized database Work and Social Security Card (CTPS)/Annual Report of Social Information (RAIS)/New General Register of Employed and Unemployed Persons (CAGED)
Following a drop in employment in December 2022, the formal job market for immigrants has heated up for the fifth month in a row (Graph 12).
In June, approximately 67% of the positions created were for high-school level workers (Graph 13).
Map 4 shows the structural aspect of this labor market segment, with the South and Southeast regions being the most active in terms of job movements and creation.

BACEN - Transferências Pessoais
BACEN - Personal Bank Transfer
The balance of transfer of personal funds recovered in June (Graph 14). This was due to the stability of the figures sent out of the country, as inflows continued to decline.
The outlook for the main origins of funds flowing into Brazil has not changed, with the United States, Portugal and the United Kingdom leading the way (Map 5).
As for remittances going out of the country, the destinations are the same as the main origins (Map 6).
